Make ahead easy pie crust (makes 20 pie crusts)

Persimmon Bread

Print the one-page PDF

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup persimmon pulp
  • 1 1/3 cup all purpose flour (can use 1/2 wheat flour)
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves (ground)
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup nuts
Mix wet ingredients first, then add dry.




Pour into 2 greased loaf pans or 1 bundt pan.



Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until edges are dark brown and pulled away from pan.

Cool 10 minutes. Loosen edges.





Invert onto plate to finish cooling.
